That's a vague description of what happened. I understand because it wasn't you driving and his description was vague.

Knocking, cutting off, and smoking is never a good sign.

Worste case scenario is it needs an engine.

If the car is cheap enough and clean enough it may be worth it.

It does have a tremic 3550 5 speed trans. Spec stage 3 clutch. 4.10 gear. And one piece aluminum driveshaft. Short shifter. 2004 cobra replicas. That's it for mods.

This is what he said, "It runs but your not gonna be able to drive it anywhere. I was sitting at a red light and the motor started knocking and killed itself. I went to crank it back up and it wouldn't budge. I tried starting it 3 days later and it fired up but it was smoking really bad. So the motor is free but it's not driveable."

It sounds like it will need a motor. How much are you paying for the car?

1500 where is it at I'll buy it.

Let us know if you decide to buy it, if it needs an engine we can help steer you in the right direction.

Looks very clean I like the blue

Pretty looking car. $1500 isn't bad if the shell is clean and rust free.

Changing an engine is easy. It's WAAAAY better than dealing with rust. If the car is rust free and clean an engine swap is nothing.
