hey guys, i'm doing alot of replacing today and tommorow, and i'm changing the rototrs and pads. the issue i got right now is the rear rotor isn't comming off. the car has 100K and i bet these are the stockers. any tips? and also, i am putting new springs and shocks, any how to's, just so i don't miss a step. thanks!

I dont remember exactly I believe they are a floater so you should be able to just hit them with a hammer to get them over the corrosion. for the suspension have a good jack and stands,1 can of penetrating oil(the front strut bolts are a MF'er, and a friends help. I did my springs and shocks in a night.

sweet! i just want to make sure i don't make things hader than they are. here's what i'm putting on:
-Gripp slotted front rotors
-PRB pads
-Brembo rear slotted rotors
-Motorsport pads
-04 cobra bilstein struts
-hotchkis camber plates
-energy stut mount, sway bar, endlink, and bumpsteer offset bushings
-steeda x2 balljoints
-ground pounder bumpsteer kit
-energy front and rear spring isolators
-bbk specific springs
-roush bilstein rear shocks
-hubcentric 1" rear spacers
-and a bbk axle bumpstop

were did you get your rear rotors and how much were they. I really need new back brakes. I will probably just get some regular ones, although the cobras look nice

nice reminder rio. thanks davins, i really can't wait to feel the difference. i have subframes on my 88, and what a difference they make. are there any really really nice ones out there easy to install?

oh yeah i scored the rear rotors local from some rich dude :)

Wherever you got most of that suspension stuff from should be able to recommend a decent set...my feeling is you need not spend big money on these..there all over the place...I made mine after looking at some MM ones...basic stuff really...
She's not gonna ride like a stocker no more...but it'll handle sweet....
I scammed some 03 Cobra rear Bils for mine...I had to fab new bushings as they take larger bolts/bushings...Nice parts tho...scamming em almost new for cheap money didn't hurt either...good luck with it...

thanks rio, yeah my cobra bilsteins were new in the box, a guy ordered them from a dealership, and then sold his saleen( i don't get some people). so he sold them to me for i think 230 shipped. not too bad. i have been looking for a strut brace, any ones that seem to stand out?

Geez...someones got the endless wallet... Must be nice..... :nice:
I happen to like the FRPP stuff...its always fits....the choices for parts can be mind numbing....once again..i pick up the FRPP catalog more often than not...

you read my mind. i've got my eye on this FMS ebay strut brace . haha, i wish my wallet was like that! unfortunately, it has taken me over a year to get all this stuff. my ebay status as a buyer must be good as gold. it doesn't help modding the cobra, a 88 lx for drag, nissan stanza(turboed), gsx600, and a renault 5 turbo in portugal. right now i've decided to be focused on my baby. i have like $200 i can spend till like july, so i want it to be put to good use.

I hear ya...Toys are a sickness..

FWIW...I got that same unit for 105.00 from a local FRPP dealer...whats shipping??? didn't notice it?? 15.00-20.00???
Choose wisely grasshopper.... :D

yeah, he didn't put down the shipping, but i could have sworn that i saw it for like 110 out of a catalog(maybe summit). i just want everything to tie in together nicely. i think i covered most of the bases. i forgot to mention i also got the energy front and rear control arm bushings. the only part of the suspension i'm not sure about was the bbk springs. they are specific rated, but i think the bilsteins will contro; the extra stiffness.
