OK. I'm driving in to work for the first time after installing a used engine and tranny. I drive calmly almost all the way there, then when I get close, and all appears good, I get on er. Suddenly there is a super high pitched squeal. Sounds like a belt at first. As soon as I donwshift the noise changes completely. So I am guessing it is clutch/input/TO brg related. Car will still shift and drive but sound horrible squealing/rubbing from the bell housing area maybe. Then I smell a bad burning smell. Car drove OK for about 25 miles and this happened all of a sudden. Anyone know what parts I should pick up from Autozone before I try to limp home tonight? T/O bearing? Seals? Pilot Bearing??? Any advice from someone who's been there/done that would be greatly appreciated as always.
Matt.
