Help w/'68 Leaky A/C

I have converted the old unit to run R134 and it seems to be working fine except that it leaks all of the 134 out after about a week or so. So I put some dye in it to see where it is leaking from. It looks as if all of my connections are leaking, hoses to compressor, expansion valve and the hard lines to the dryer and condenser. . I've got them tite as heck and they still leak. I did not use any Teflon tape or anything on the connections. Should I try the Teflon tape or connection sealer? Just about everything is new, hoses, condenser , receiver/dryer, expansion valve. Not new is the compressor and evaporator. Service port fittings on the condenser are new as well has the R134 conversion fittings.

Thanks,

try the teflon tape, i gues i dont know enough about it to know if it would work. but i do know that they all leak like a SOB. my painter said his best cooler is the fastest leaker. hey, atleast R134 is cheaper than freon
