Help w/ alt wiring!!

Hey all been rewiring the svo today and had to call it quits due to it got really cold and the tape wouldn't stick anymore.
But i also had to wire up the alt. It's the stock alt and not sure what wires go where have of them fell apart when you moved something around.

I got the spots for wires on the alt and four wires coming from the little box on the driverside.
So far i hooked up the greenw/red stripe,orangew/bluestripe to + on alt,whitew/black stripe to field on alt and brown w/white spots taped off.
What do i hook the sta spot on the alt to is this a ground???

i had the same problems with my 86 TC to 89 stang swap, since i used the 86 alternator i had to cut and splice a bunch of wires... if the car was here Id run out and check on it real quick for ya, but its not... ill run over tomorrow and get some pics to show what i did to add the regulator and what goes where (if i get up in time.) just keep in mind that while it will start and run i havent connected anything for good yet since i havent verified that under normal operating conditions it is properly functioning... but it will idle under its own power and nothing catches on fire so its gotta be close!

just went through the same mess with my 66 as well since that harness was all melted. check out some wiring diagrams, they are your best friend in cases such as this... from looking at your pics they are gonna come in handy in the future too!
