On my previous car i didnt wire in the alternator so the car keep running for a few seconds til the car ran out of gas and cut off. the tracks i race at say this isnt good enough. the car has to cut off immediatly after cutting off the switch. so that means i have to wire in the alternator so the car doesnt run off of it when the battery is disconnected.
