HELP w/ wiring a battery disconnect switch

On my previous car i didnt wire in the alternator so the car keep running for a few seconds til the car ran out of gas and cut off. the tracks i race at say this isnt good enough. the car has to cut off immediatly after cutting off the switch. so that means i have to wire in the alternator so the car doesnt run off of it when the battery is disconnected.

Does anyone have a picture diagram or have detailed instructions on how to wire this it would be great.

Run the charging wire from the alt back to the cut off switch, hook it to the same side of the switch as the battery is connected to....

cool, which wire is the charging wire? the alt. has three wires right?
