Oh crap! Ok, I've had the stang in storage since November and had been starting it once in a while and it ran fine when I did it. Today I went to start it and it made really loud squealing noise(belt?) and it idled like crap. The squealing stop after 15 seconds then it died. I went to start it again this time it only idled like crap still, then I started to smell like something was burning and I started to see smoke caming from the engine compartment. Needless to say I shut it off and pop the hood and it was all smoky in there. I couldn't stick around to see what was wrong. So what the hell is up? Maybe the oil didn't have enough time to get to the pistons? Help me out please. I have to get it out by the 7th of this month! Thanks.

I wouldn't think you have an oil issue....that would be a freak thing for sure, doesnt sound right...did you notice if you had oil pressure on the gage?....what kinda smell was it??? rubber/electrical???

Damn rodents....maybe you roasted something??? Something sounds wack...it was starting all along then this???
I had my smog pump seize up once outta nowhere....freakin thing bound up bigtime....check the belt for signs of rubbing or black dust all over the place....pull the belt if it looks funky and rotate your pumps and such...

Did you happen to look underneath it to see whats up??

Good luck....Maybe you got a roasted squirrel or something..

Take your belt off and try to turn all the pulleys. You should be able to turn them without much effort. I agree with Andy, smog pump.

Thanks guys! It was a really bad burning smell. It didn't smell electrical, more rubberish than anything. And did I mention there was smoke? I did have time to really check for anything. All I noticed is that there is build of some sort of white stuff on the front accersories kinda like that power you get on the battery post. Would that have anything to do with it? Ok I'll be honest, last time I started the car was a month ago and have not driven it since I first store it. I don't think that it is a rodent cause the car is stored in one of those "store it yourself" storage places and there's a rolldown door that goes all the way to the ground so I doubt anything could've gotten in there. What else should I check for? Thanks again
