Help with 1/4 mile times

Ok, try not to laught, but my first time and I ran 12.013 @ 116.85, but my 60 ft time was 2.134!! 0 wheel spin, but the 60 obviously sucks, how should I launch? I had the rpm at around 3k, but I think I must have slipped the clutch too much. Let me know what you think.

Get some DRs.. and lauch as high as you can without loosing traction.. try power shifting and make sure you shift right before the power band ends..

get dr's, launch at around 3-4K, but DO NOT DROP the clutch....ease it with slip until you are out of the hole.

My buddy has the same power as you and ran a [email protected] with a 2.0 60ft.

Thanks for the reply's. Is the consensus that there should be absolutely no wheels spin at launch?
