Hey guys i feel bad even bringing this up in a ford forum, but i know u guys and feel like i belong so instead of starting new in a gm forum i figured id ask here first. My 88 cadillac brougm (ride while the stang is getting the T5 swap) started makeing this really loud whinning sound when in gear idleing but not in neutral or park. Im pretty sure it is a bearing in the torque converter. If u let the car idle down the street as soon as it reaces the speed where the car is going as fast as the engine is idleing the noise oges away. Anyway does anyone know what this could be? if it is the converter are they hard to swap out? Do you just pull the tranny back and pull out the converter and put in a new one? Im trying to make sure that that is the problem b4 i spend more money one somthhing other than the stang. Sorry for the long post and for asking a GM question
