i acutally might go for the turbo swap in the future, and yes, i agree, the a4ld would have to go, but for the time being, think it would be a good idea to throw like the american thunder flowmaster or some other relatively cheap flowmaster on. i know it wouldnt be a hole new system, but wouldnt that improve my sound some?
my exhaust setup (which anyone can discover upon doing a search!!!!!!) is as follows:
stainless steel shorty header from a Ranger 2.3 engine
midpipe is made from 5 45 degree exhaust elbows I got from NAPA and a catalytic converter also from NAPA, all 2-1/4", welded together so that they kinda match the shape of the stock midpipe (need to get a pic), also welded on the old ball and socket joints.
catback is a 2-1/4" exhaust pipe, 21 or 22 inches long, one end welded to ball and socket joint and other end into a Flowmaster 42443 muffler, and a tailpipe from an LX 5.0 Mustang with whatever material added on that you need to make it go into the muffler outlet.
Car rumbles a little bit at low throttle and screams like a banshee when you open it up. It's different LOL.
