Help With Gap In Passenger Dash

Just got this 77 base model a few weeks ago. While replacing heater core I found what seems to be a missing piece of the passenger dash. Haven't found a pic online to compare against so not sure what goes here. I know some had clocks but doesn't seem related. Anybody have a pic of theirs?

An optional map light goes there. Very rare to find.
