Ok, now that I'm finally starting to build up a pile of parts it's time for me to pick out a new camshaft. As of now I have a ported cobra intake, ported/polished gt40 heads, stock MAF with the air stablizer removed. The heads have 7/16th studs in them and I still need to buy RRs. Now, I was gonna buy a steeda 19 with my aode, but now that I'm converting to a t5 soon, do you guys think I should change up my cam profile?

I've always felt the 19 was kinda soft down low

One of the most impressive OEM GT40 type head combos I've seen used a Comp
XE270 cam.

295 & 321

OEM p heads ... Yes
but
The rest was Aftermarket stuff
Edel RPM
LT's
and of course
the cam

What does a stock MAF with the air stabilizer removed mean? Pics?

Of course you should go custom. Ed Curtis, Jay Allen, etc etc

Anderson B31?

there's a big bar in the middle of the stock MAF sensor, it's there to stabilize the air going through it, I cut it out for improved air flow. With such a mild combo I'm wondering if a custom cam is really going to be worth it though, I mean, what's the power difference between having say...an e or b cam to a steeda 19 to comp to custom?

Doing that to the maf may cause a lean condition if you don't tune it out, so beware.

Agreed! I bumped my fuel pressure when I did it and never had a problem

Tfs stage 1 is good for a mild combo.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

Great cam for the money too. Not sure what the deal is going to be now. Those cams originally were made by Crane Cams. Crane Cams is out of business now.

I've enjoyed my Steeda 19 and my combo is very close to yours. I've never used anything else, so I can't compare
