Nice, yea I watched that same video, if you care about your paint then just make sure to do it very gradually and take your time. No reason to rush it. 18's look good on a fox but they're big, and so are 285's, rolling the fenders should set you up nicely and ease your mind on the tires.
I'm having it painted in a few months the same color it is now. But I'll still take my time and use the heat gun to avoid any chipping and possible damage to the fender itself.
Note where rim width and backspace are to two different points. From the rims I have seen and measured, the difference between measuring inner wheel lip to outer wheel lip and the rim width dimension is usually around an inch.
Recheck the dimensions for backspace and forward space - not shown but would be from the mounting flange to the front lip. So place a straightedge, a ruler or a level across the rim lip (not the tire face as you do have some tire bulge).
From the dimension you gave, you would have a 36-40mm offset. What model Mustang are they designed for because that is S197 or S550 offset numbers.
As I said above, take out the 10mm spacer and your rubbing may just go away - or do you start hitting something on the inner side (control arm, shock)?
So I took a few snapshots of the inside of the tire mounted to my car. Without the spacer it would rub the brake line and inner fender well from what I can see. I'm sure I can move the brake line over but not sure about the fender well. I ordered a fender roller which will be here tomorrow and see how that goes. Next resort is to get a thinner tire but I do love the look of the wider tire. Also the rim diameter for this particular wheel in 18inch is either 8.5 or 9.5 per the manufacture. Thanks for your advice.

Rubbing et al. problems galore
Come on over to the East Coast and you borrow it anytime you'd like. It wore me out. Spent almost 4 hours rolling the fenders. Was worried about damaging them so made sure to apply proper heat with my heat gun every now and then.
Replaced the rear shocks with Koni orange. Installed new inner and outer tie rods along with a SVE bump steer kit. Car rides much better.
I also got Koni orange struts, SVE Caster Camber kit and Eibach sway bar kit put on the front. Ran out of time so they're on my Wed and Thur day-off to do list.
