are you talking about the metal strip that goes in the roof and holds the metal top to the trim, underneath the headliner? its like 3 feet long or so and like a half inch wide? if so, what i did with mine is just drilled holes in it and riveted it in place and the top is MUCH more solid. I have some pics of how i did it, ill get some up for you tonight when i have some time
