I've got a '93 Mustang 2.3 that ate the timing belt. I know my cam/crank alignment is off because I tried to crank the car before I realized it was the belt.
My question is how to get the cam and intermittent(?) gears back aligned correctly since I have no distributor to look at the rotor to know if its pointed at the #1 cylinder? Finding TDC shouldnt be a problem, but am unsure as to the DIS getting it right. Can I just position cam to alignment marks or can I be off 180 like you can with a crank shaft?
Thanks for any help with the DIS system.
