About 2 years ago, I added AFR 165 ped. mount heads, FMS 1.6 RR. That set up with the stock cam had no valve train noise. I installed a TFS Stage 1 cam recently. Just fired it up yesterday. With the TFS cam, the vavle train is incredibly noisy. It sounds like a diesel truck. I am going to look at the valve covers for any marks from the rockers hitting. I did have a small amount of play in the rocker arm after I installed them. I had to use more shims with the new cam, or the pushrod would not spin in my fingers when the rocker was torqued down. On about four or five of the rockers, I had a little bit of play in the setup. I could actually move the rocker off the pushrod. It was only a few thousand's. Could this cause an extremly noisy vavle train?
