I know that there must be a hundred posts with this subject and a lot of you guys that have been in here for a while are probably tired of this most basic of questions from us "newbs", but considering it is such a big investment i realy need some help.
I really want to get Shelby Razors for my S197 GT, but there is a lot of contradictory info on offsets. I really like the look of the "flush with the wheel wells look" that the 24mm gives, but there are a lot of folks out there saying that it looks real bad and there is a big risk of rubbing.
I found a decen quote on ebay for a set of silver S197's with Nitto invo 275 40 20 wheels all around and was wondering if someone out there maybe had a similar combination on their car. I know that teh saleens run the 27 40 20's, but they use a 50mm offset in the back and a 35 mm (i think) in the front.
Anyway, I look forward to your input.

I am running Nitto 555 275/35's on 20x10's Saleens on mine. I'm pretty sure you are right about the offset(50mm) but I am not completely sure about the Razors. If you are not already a member, check out MustangForums.com. Lots of good people over there as well that may be able to help you out too.

Thanks TruBlu03...I was trying this forum out becuase I wasnt feeling any love over at the one you mentioned. I'm not sure what the protocol is for these forums, but I sont seem to be able to get many responses.
BTW did you install the cams or did you have them done. I was considering that mod for my car.

Well, it seems like MustangForums has a lot more activity than Stangnet(due to the amount of members I guess) so that is why I suggested it. Yes, a friend and I installed the cams. Let me know if you have any questions about them, I have a couple links to excellent "how-to's" on cams.

I had the shelby razors on my first mustang (05gt) and it was lowered and i had no rubbing issues what so ever! I had 255/45/18 all the way around so u should b fine if u go with that rim and offset.

would love to help you out except Itoo am in the same boat. Looking for new rims and tires. I DO know one of the best sizes to go for are 18's. It offers a GREAT selection of tires, and are only one size up from stock so they wont rub. Otherwise Ireally cant for the life of me trust ebay. i would try TireRack, AmericanMuscle, and other places. Also peruse the for sale threads. I have just had badluck with ebay in the past
