Thought I would give this a shot.

Just finishing my auto to manual swap and I need to load my tune using my Xcalibrator 2. I had the place email me a new tune that turned off the automatic functions, but I can't get the program on the computer to work!

Does anyone live close to Dearborn, Michigan and have the software downloaded on their computer for the Xcal 2 from the SCT website? I'm having no luck with loading drivers and all sorts of crap!

Thanks,
Jason

Are you using Extreme Tune? Make sure you have the current software for it. I believe there are 2 driver files that need to be installed. I beleive that they are zip files. You'll have to extract them to get them to work. The drivers for SCT suck. I have to constantly reinstall them. I take it that you are using XP. What type of errors are you getting? If you see on with some sort of "port" error, that means the drivers aren't working. The "port" isn't open for the Xcal. Keep us posted on your progress or lack of. Pearl02.

I've been using my buddies comp...mines too old... and I downloaded the Liveload program because it said I needed that for the LL3 files I received. I DL'd that at the thing that said drivers. Installed the liveload and unzipped the drivers files. It keeps giving me a cannot loop back message when I plug in the Xcal. I have a buddy trying to look at it for me. Not sure if I need to download anything else.

Thanks,
Jason

Go old SCT software. I'm not very happy with them now. There is a forum you can go to. If you ask a question, you might get a answer. I haven't had much luck with that forum. I've done alot of things thru trail and error. I'm also not happy with my dealer. He promised to call us when updates are due. I've had to call several times only for him to say, "Oh yea, those updates are here". I think the Xcal can be a great tool if SCT gets everything worked out. Right now I can't recommend them to anyone. Pearl02.

I agree... it's a great device just needs the rest of the tech support to go with it. I think I got it working now but I have to fix other problems from my swap to find out if it loaded successfully since my car won't start. :(
