I need alot of help. I'm working on my nephews 68 Stang. It originally came with a 289 and C4. He got it from somebody who put a remanufactured 302 in it. I'm planning on rebuilding the 302 and putting in an AOD tranny. Here's my problem, what balancer and flywheel do I need to use? They put the old 289 balancer on the 302 but I know it wouldn't work with the AOD. I need some kinda setup so I can use the old pulley system. Also the AOD flywheel is bigger than the C4 so what about the starter? Also how about the kick down linkage for the AOD. I'm going to use an Edlebrock carb. Any help? Thanks

First, you use a 302-to-AOD flywheel, get it balanced for 28oz imbalance...a stock 84-85 AOD flywheel should work as well (without having to get it rebalanced). Starter will just transfer over and bolt up to the AOD bell housing. Kickdown linkage LOKAR or Summit Racing carries.
