Car randomly running ruff sputtering under load getting horrible gas mileage all I smell is gas when running the car. Check engine is only reading one code coolant temp sensor alternator seems to be over charging as well when rev high would these be the reason my car is running horrible? Randomly started 2 days ago help on what to check

A bad temp sensor can make it run poorly

Looks like you already have your code. Bad coolant temp sensor would cause the car to run pig rich and give you terrible fuel economy.


As for the alt, how many volts is it putting out? Did you measure with a voltmeter?
