I know, just saw an opportunity to add fuel to the proverbial fire ;)

any update on your school/training yet? If I remember you're trying to get into one of the pilot programs?
Only update is that my OCS/ Aviation package was approved by the board and i ship out to OCS July 9th

Fighters, hopefully F/A-18's or possibly the JSF if its in the fleet by that time
awsome, good luck :nice:

a friend of mine got a ride in an F-16 as a perk for winning Airman of the Year for AETC. He got from Little Rock AFB (central AR) to Ft. Smith (NW corner of AR) in 10 minutes  thats just unreal.

Hopefully the R&D phase of the JSF wont be as slow as the F-22, but with everything being contolled more and more by avionics instead of mechanics and hydraulics, I guess it takes longer to get all the kinks worked out.

:flag:

Heres the pig I used to work on and the flightline I spent 3 good years running engines. Took these working swing shift one night :nice:

unemployment is EARNED, its not welfare :)

4 years with Uncle Sam will get you $10k, if you live in a state w/good unemployment benefits. by the way, I pay taxes too ;)

but if you still wanna look at me as a free loader, guess where my GI Bill money comes from?

It was a joke, notice the smiley face at the end of my post :Zip2: :D

hell no thats not my grungy ass :rlaugh: just a pic I linked from yahoo image.

Just got back from signing the offer, and he lied to me, I'll be starting at $13/hr :nice: Things will still be a little tight bc my GI Bill is going to stop coming in after April, so I'll be living on whatever I make (about $1k/month). Sounds like enough for a college punk, but I have an ass load of bills to pay each month :notnice:

anyway, they're sending me to Dallas April 10/11th for training. I was hoping to hit a 1/4 track while Im there but it doesnt look like they have test n tune those nights I'll be there :(

Next mod is definitely Longtubes, followed by a built rear (no 4.30s bc now I have to drive 30 miles to and from work each way), MT ET Streets & Weld ProStars, then if hell freezes over and VT stage IIs are available, I'll get them. Hopefully by this time next year I'll have all that done and start saving for a built S/B, but we'll see.

Ok lol, I was going to say "they let you in the military like that!?!?!" :rlaugh: .

So all your getting is 1k? But for part time i guess thats not bad....Im clearing about $800 every 2 weeks. (1500-1600 clear per month, live at home with basically no bills...its all good :D) But I work some OT/DT and we get 6 OT everyother week due to my work scedule anyways.

$13/hr @ 20hrs/week x 4 weeks/month = $1040. Nothing spectacular, but most kids with part-time jobs in college are making about $500 a month, if that. My gf's bringing home about $400. Besides with the benefits package and tuition payback, I cant turn it down.

I wanna run 12s by the end of the year :)
