Who originated the *Hemi* ???

Chrysler first designed the "Hemi " in '39 for an airplane. It was a V-16.

chrysler was the first to build and market the hemi. another company *dreamed* it up.

hrm... I think your right... after doing some research on it I cant find anything to support it.... someone that I thought new quite a buit about this stuff told me that ford came up with the idea but never went through with it because they didnt think it would work, or be worth anything or whatnot... wich could be, but after researching it I find nothing to support it, so oops :shrug:

it's funny that you say/ask this cause i think they did when did the 392 come out? cause the guy we got our 80 from had i beleive a 56 desoto i think that was the year of it that had a hemi in it from the factory. peace
