I'm just finishing up build a 73 Ranchero with 503ci motor in it. Here are some pics. It's not done. The guy still has to finish the paint and put the car back together. Like the interior all running lights, grill. All the stuff we took off the car is in the bed beside the fenders they are for a trailer. What I got paid for is done. I had to build and install the motor, trans and rearend. All the wiring, steel bradied hoese, and gauges.

Sweet engine....never was a Ranchero fan though

Hey it's not my car. I tired to talk him into a 69-70 Mustang or a Fox body Mustang. The motor that's in the Ranchero goes 9.0's in my dad 2600lbs 77 Mustang. So it should run pretty good in this Ranchero. We took a little compression out because he's going to drive it on the street.

I love the car including the color. Despise the hood scoop though.

Killer front drive on the engine

Yea,I like the car,will be looking good when its done.

What kinda ET will it run?

Yeah no doubt...i've got a friend who's husband died from diabetes a few years back...kinda sad, he had about 5 Mustangs in the works, one of which was a real '70 Mach1 with a BADASS 514 that's still wrapped in plastic on an engine stand to this day.

Well this motor in my dad 77 Mustang went 9.0's@149-150 it weights 2600lbs. I'm not sure how much the Ranchero weight but I'm guess it will run 10.30-50's somewhere in there depending how much it weights.

Just don't like it on the Ranchero... It's a very demure looking car. Even the paint color is demure. It makes me think of this thing slowly grumbling around looking completely unobtrusive and non threatening.... until the light turns green.

The scoop just ruins that, I think.

With an air cleaner on it he's going to need the scoop. I would of gotten a cowl hood made for it.

gotta say im impressed, was always more of a 70 71 torino/ranchero fan though, car looks nice
