Hesitation underheavy throttle carb dbl Pumper?

Just finally got to putting my car back. 70 built 347, auto with shift kit. Running a 650 dbl pumper. Reponse good on initial launch. When moving and punching it get a little hesitiation and it then takes off. Sound like secondaries then kicking in. I remember reading in another post (that I can't find) that secondaries may need to be adjusted. Any insights? Thanks

Sounds to me like the Primary accellerator pump linkage has got some slack in it that needs to be removed. That's your hesitation. It goes away as the secondarys open and that accellerator pump kicks in more fuel.
