I'm planning on running 17x9 +45mm offset in the rear... Is a 275/40-17 tire too much? I know with a bigger tire on a smaller rim the sidewall will flex more... opinions?

40's are the perfect lateral tire IMO, you want some give, too little and the tire will slide and too much.... Depending on your suspension it could create an under or over steer problem. I run a 275/40/17 on all corners with a 36mm offset but a 45mm will work well in the back.

EDIT Ha, i was half expecting people to start calling me a dick and what not lol

i have a set of 17x9 wheels with only 24mm offset, is that going to look and fit right? i have to do a 5 lug set up before i can put them on to test fit.

If you're keeping the stock fox track I would guess it'd be fine... I have a SN95 width track, hence the necessity for the extra offset.

thats what i thought i just did not want to do the swap if the wheels i have would make the track width look skinny.

You can run 45mm all the way around, just run a spacer up front to make up the difference. That way you can rotate your tires too, even with the 36mm offset up front i run a small spacer, but i have my fenders pulled, and its only for the extra clearance with the coil overs

I'm running 8's up front with a 30mm offset... 245/50-16's

Discount Tire will still honor the tire warranty if you cannot rotate the tires.

I'm sure the will, but i'd rather have a uniform tire all around
