Hi, quick question here

Anyone know of a source for the slotted socket used on the top of front struts on a 93 GT? I'm trying to install camber/caster plates and I can't get the strut nut off!

If no one knows where I can get the tool, how about another way to get that nut off? I've already snapped the tip of a pry bar off!

BTW, the only online place that I found is Toolsource, but they won't be able to ship until September!

Any suggestions?

Your local Snap-On or MAC tool guy will have it. Check the yellow pages in your area, or see www.snapon.com or www.mactools.com. Both will have the tool and may have the name of a seller in your area.

On the last ones I did, I hit the fastener with a little PB. Then I used a small prybar like this . I used one of the middle prybar sizes and put the prybar across the slots from the side (not from the top, like you'd have to with a screwdriver).

If that doesnt work, Air tools or a shop can likely help. A shop can blap it loose for you. Then tighten it up enough to safely get home. It should come off easier now.
