HID kits? Where to get them?

a ton of audi guys run them and have had good luck with em. only thing is shipping is a bit slow since they come from china (or maybe it was japan)

There is the type of kit with no high beam, and the bi-xenon kits which cost more, but include a high beam. You don't really need a hi-beam with HIDs though, unless you are having a safety inspection.

The '01 Mustang uses the 9007 bulbs, then you have to choose what color you want... 4300k is what factory xenons are, then there's 6000k which i have, 8000k is blue, 10000k is really really blue, and 12000k is purple... Remember the higher color temp you go, the less light output.

I don't recommend going over 8000k.

i realized that (this time ) however its possible that he "touched up" the picture in photoshop or something


more importantly i was wanting to see the illumination that 6000k setup made and looking to see how it affects the color of other things on the road or what have you

and where do you mount the ballast so it doesnt get wet?

stock housing on mine, i have 880 bulbs in the foglights. i've got the starter/ballast assembly mounted to the back of the actual metal bumper with self tapping sheetmetal screws. i've been in the rain several times and gone through my company's carwash system several more times and haven't had any trouble.
