high mileage 4.6?

alright so lately i've been trying to find a decent un modded 5spd GT for around 10 grand to trade the danger ranger on. i'm trying to find one with 80K or less miles on the clock, what i wonder is if there are things i should look for that start to fail at this point that might be more common on the GT.

any advice to help with the shopping?

Ditto, dont be warry of higher mileage cars, the 4.6 is a great motor, there are plenty crown vic etc..'s out there well into the 200k mile range and still runing

If you looking for a 4.6L 96-98, be aware of the intake manifold, if it doesnt have the metal crossover tube behind the altenator, i would be very cautious of it if everything checks out, they seem to go around 65k if its original.
