Ok, just had the pinion bearing, crush washer, pinion seal, carrier bearings, axle bearings replaced for the sum of $448. Thats not a bad deal.

Problem is the car starts to humm and a vibration starts at 90mph and gets very bad as speed is increased. 80mph the car is fine with no noticable vibration or harmonics.

What could this be Ive had this same problem with 4 sets of tires on it...so I dont think its the tires.

any ideas??

Ok you know your going to get all the high speeds is unsafe nazi's up in here right?

When did it start?
Was it after the gear install?
After the tranny was out for something?
Just developed?
After swapping rims?
You I'm sure already turned the DS 180 deg right?
Perhaps also try another known good driveshaft?

+1 driveshaft, align yellow dots...

Also, with gears the drive shaft is always spinning faster so with gears an aluminum drive shaft is highly recommended...

I think it was always there.
The gears were installed before I bought the car.
no, I want to say it was after I lowered the car.
its been a problem for 20k miles
could be after rims...
the ds has been off many times...but I can get under there and spin it 180
another DS...eeks!
