Has anybody ever heard of our cars running BETTER when theyre excessively hot?

u dont want it to run too cool either, i would say anywhere between 180-190 is a good range.

Did you hear that cars run better, or are more efficient when hotter? The latter can be true.

Well i have a coolant leak and every so often when the coolant runs low..The temp will go all the way up to the A or L in the word normal on the stock temp gauge..Well call me crazy but when it was that hot last night..It felt like it was running smoother and more efficient

The motor can be more efficient at higher temps (why cars today run hot and our high speed fan doesnt come on till almost 230*F). But that is a bit too hot for best performance or longevity.

If it happened to be cool out last night, that could have been a factor in how the car ran. Ambient (ergo inlet) temps have a TON to do with SOTP feel IMHO. The cars normally feel faster at night or real early in the day.
