Hit a HUGE pot hole today... Is my car alright?

I was driving today playing with my stereo (not looking where I was going), going about 15mph when all of the sudden, BOOM! My ass literally flew off the seat the hole was so big. It scared the crap out of me. BIG TIME. The car seems to be okay. It still drives fine. I don't think it hurt anything, but should I be worried???

Check closely - if you know which side you hit it on look to see if it bent the wheel(s). If the steering wheel is no longer centered when you're going straight down the road, then you probably knocked the alignment out - front end shop can check out the components to see if you bent anything. Also, it's possible to break belts inside a tire - which usually show up as a distorted spot in the side wall, and/or with vibration at speed.

Good luck - hope it turns out to be ok.

The car still drives perfectly straight when I'm not holding the wheel. It was the front-left tire that got struck, however there is no visual damage to the wheel. Everything looks fine, and the car still drives fine.

I jacked it up and looked under it. Everything seems to be in order, except for the little bar the connects to the sway bar. There are few greenish bushings that look like there starting to come out of place when compared to the passenger side ones. I guess it's not really a big deal.

sounds like you are talking about end links. when you jack the car up, they look tweaked (for them to look normal, the car has to be on level ground).

they are cheap if you choose to renew them (like 20 bucks for both sides in polyurethane).

good luck.

Well, at least you admit that!

Check the tires for the next few days, you might have an impact blister on the sidewall. Sometimes it takes a day or two for them to show up. Otherwise, your in the clear. Now if you were driving an import, you would probally have real damage. One thing about american cars, they are more durrable to things like that.

Fortunately I have all new tires on the way, which arrive later this week to compliment the new draglites that are going on the car :D
