holley intake

is a holley intake overkill on a stockheads/cam engine?


I want to change out the heads and cam eventualy and run a supercharger but for right now Its just gona be bolt ons


mass air meter
throttlebody
fenderwell intake (I know it does next to nothing)



well It was either this intake or a Trickflow Street heat But Id outgrow that intake as the powerband is only up to 5500.


so that being said and money isnt a issue, what is the reccomended intake then?

forgot to mention the every bolt on known to man thing as well, that includes everything I can find besides heads/cam unfortunately I dont have the cash for all that at the moment so I'm going one thing at a time

Yes....it's way overkill for a stock or even mildly modified engine.

Trick Flow intake and a set of AFR 185's

With a good cam (you choose), how much power would the AFR 185's and Trickflow Intake make? (Assuming that the car was a stock block 302 with typical TB, MA, Shorties and good exhaust.

you could make 310rwhp easily with the right parts and a proper tune

With a good cam (you choose), how much power would the AFR 185's and Trickflow Intake make? (Assuming that the car was a stock block 302 with typical TB, MA, Shorties and good exhaust.

N/A with a good street grind, larger T/B, MAF and a few other supporting pieces 320-340rwhp is pretty common. Another 90-120 with forced induction.

Why not go with the Track Heat, or have the Steet intake ported later on. Trust me, once the forced induction is on there, it will change the powerband characteristics considerably!
