I have a drop base cleaner and a victor Jr (tall manifold). The air cleaner stickes up about 2 inches above the tops of the fenders with a strait edge across there and the hood open. With drop motor mounts and a shorter manifold, you could get it under a stock hood!
BTW with my tall manifold and my cobra R cowl hood, I still have to run a drop base. I have a K&N extreme air filter. The one with the filter in the lid!
Hmmm a stormin norman.... would that fit with the dropped base air cleaner and stock engine mounts... I'd open the ducts up to force air at the filter element....
