I JUST BOUGHT A CERVINI'S HOOD AND A SET OF FORD RACING HOOD PINS. I AM CONTEMPLATING PUTTING THE PINS ON THE HOOD. DO I HAVE TO HAVE HOOD PINS ON AN AFTERMARKET HOOD???

HOLY CAPITALS BATMAN....but no, you don't NEED to have them on an aftermarket hood, escpecially with the fitment of cervinis(one of the best in my opinion). Alot of people choose too because of how much the hood shakes at highway speeds and above. I have the C series hood from Cervinis on my car and it shook no more than the stock hood did when I put it on, but for added security I chose to install the hood pins not to mention hood pins looks sexy.

I have the factory hood, and with all the hood shaking going on at 130MPH hood pins were a must. And they look cool. (sexy is not something my car does well)

I have the stock hood and they totaly eliminated my hood shake as well and I definitely agree on the added look

At least it's more erect and not floppy anymore.

I'd say put them on to keep your cervini hood from shaking. It will give you a sense of comfort
