Hood Scoop on PIMTOUT's Fox?

Hey guys. First post. Nice site, btw.

So I'm getting a Cervini's 2.5 Cowl Hood for my '89GT and love the way the scoop looks on PIMTOUT's white and blue Fox. I tried sending him a pm but it didn't work. Does anyone know the manufacturer and model # of that scoop? Is that an original Ford piece?

Sorry, thought he was known around here. He has a bunch of posts and a beautiful white Fox with blue Lemans Stripes.

But I found a post where he says its an 82 GT scoop modified to fit the cowl.

Commonly referred to as the '82 GT scoop, but they used them on a few other early Fox models as well. There are two versions, one is forward facing and the later one is rear facing. They can be hard to find...luckily Latemodel Restoration sells reproductions.

Maier Racing also sell a hood that is essentially the same thing, all in one piece. You might need to do some test fitting to find a cowl hood that'll fit the scoop as nice as the one in that pic, since a lot of cowl sections are shaped and sized differently.

Thanks! But I've checked out Late Model Restoration already and they only seem to sell the scoop insert, not the actual grill. Any other companies you know of that sell a reproduction? I mean, there are a bunch of companies that sell scoops that look like the '82 GT but I'd like to start off with the real thing - well, even if I have to modify it to fit my cowl. But I'm going to check out the hood from Maier Racing. Thanks again!

That hood looks like a lift off hood. The cowl hangs past the back of the hood.

Yes, the scoop is OEM. But I'm going to have to cut it down the middle and rejoin it based on the lines of my cowl. Another reason I didn't want a cheap, thin reproduction.

On the hood. I did notice how far back the cowl goes. But really, would never have bought it since I already have the Cervinis cowl hood.
