After some digging, it was determined that the flywheel is 0 balance, on a 50oz motor. So, back apart it all comes LMAO.

Ok, car no worky.

Also, I found this plug hanging out of the steering column but can't find a plug for it...

Not that it matters now but that plug is just for the neutral safety lock on the auto shifter and doesn't get used with a manual swap

So I posted a photo a year ago of my daughter sitting in the coupe (page 2) on 4/27/19. Here is a comparison on 4/27/20

Why in the world did she take the instrument cluster out! I hope she knows how to put it back.

I can only assume you're teaching her to hotwire cars? Every pic of her in the car has the column and or dash wires exposed.

It was an honest mistake that was made good by the seller. New flywheel is in the mail.

That's good news, hopefully it didn't do any real damage to the engine. Twenty two years ago in my old notchback my balancer failed and I drove it home (like an 18 year old idiot) about 20 miles and it ended up doing quite a bit of damage. The wrist pin on the #6 cylinder walked it's way into the cylinder wall creating a nice big gash all the way up and down the bore. Thus I had to buy a new block and rotating assembly...

Its got 30 seconds of run time between 2 starts. I wasn't 100% sure it was a dead cylinder the first time so I checked it all and restarted. Should be ok. The shortblock was recently rebuild so I have that going for me too (I hope)

It’s like you’ve done it before or something... So does it now run correctly?

Glad to see those inserts sell like hotcakes. I exchanged a few messages with that gent early on when I was designing my inserts. He really did a good job thinking them through.

One day i'll actually get around to installing my Brembos.
