1993 is a one year only E-brake setup. It’s VERY similar to the SN95 cars but slight differences.

Yes, there is supposed to be a bracket there that the sheathed cables clip into.

Unsure if anyone carries that bracket

I bit the bullet and bought the silly $38 bracket. We have emergency brakes now. It’s becoming painfully obvious now that my side hustle is doing well enough to prevent me from working on the car. Maybe one day I’ll get the motor apart.

I think I've reached the point where I'm ready to tear the car down and put the heads on. The weather sucks and I probably wont drive it a whole lot. My main fear is having it torn down without all the parts I need and it staying down for many months. We shall see. Probably going to start on it this weekend.

What's going on:
Promaxx 180s
TFS-1 cam
Stainless Summit brand 1.6 rr

Keeping the 42# injectors for now, although they'll be on the ragged edge of their flow at 7# I think. Need to upgrade to 60s at some point.

@a91what you have the Promaxx heads, right? Someone here does. Did you put them on a stock bottom end 302? I’ve had a few people tell me it won’t work because the valves are too big.

Wow, I don't know about that, gt40 and the P heads have like 1.84 so
I think you would be ok but someone here would know for sure.

My pistons aren’t stock, but they’re stock replacements. I’ll go strap one of the heads on and clay them to see if and how much clearance there is I guess.

I was really hoping everything was so mild that there would be miles of clearance and issues were nothing to worry about. Le sigh.

I do run the Promaxx 190's but they are on a fully built 393w..
You will want to clay and then triple check.

I have the ProMaxx heads, but I've not bolted them up yet. They're in the parts pile for when I finally get the garage built and start working on my convertible.

Kinda funny.... I was JUST thinking about those heads and pulled up the website the other day. Someone must be watching my google history or something....

Well, I did a bunch of thread searching on the bookfaces and a lot of people said they wouldn't work on a stock shortblock, the valve reliefs were not big enough to accomodate the 2.02 valves. Some people with other heads with 2.02s had success, but I think theres probably more to the story there.
