It was just a quick up and back. Couldnt find anywhere to stay! Ended up in Ft. Worth.

I dunno man, but they keep filling up and we keep building them. I hate it but it pays the bills.

I was able to get everything stripped out of the cab Friday evening. Getting the harnesses out was an absolute BEATING. Saturday, my dad came to help me get the engine out. By lunch time, we had the truck on the trailer headed to the scrap yard.

Here's where the budget stands so far:
Truck purchase w/ delivery: $3020.00
Scrap value: $275
I have the interior listed for $1k, Ill take any offer over $500 at this point. So lets just say I get $700 which knocks the total investment to $2k.

What I need to purchase:
Costs to strip the harness down and make it run standalone: $850
transfer case adapter so I can mount it in the frame: $450
Motor mounts: $130
Fuel system stuff: $400 maybe? Need a pump, regulator, some line and the adapter fitting for the fuel rail.

So that's $3830 and should get the truck running. Itll need hoses, an E-fan (I have a taurus fan I think), an electric power steering pump, and probably a dozen other little things. I sincerely hope its as easy as Im making it sound. If you wanted to do this in a fox, I don't think it would be radically different.
Other things to note:
I'm using the bronco transfer case so I can keep the push button shift on the dash and keep the interior looking factory. You can absolutely use the newer transfer case, you just have to buy a $600 controller.
The factory gauges will be made to work to keep the stock appearance.
They make power steering pump adapters to run PS, but you gotta relocate the alternator too and it gets spendy. Much easier and cheaper to just run the Volvo electric pump.

I think that's about it for now.

The fox has always had a vibration since the manual swap 4 or 5 years ago. I finally let it get to me enough to do something about it. Tuesday I dropped the drive shaft off to get rebalanced. They said it was "out 50, got it down to 10." I assume that has to be grams. I put it back in last night and went to a local show but the vibration is better but still somewhat there at freeway speeds.

This is going to sound dumb, but Im doing to ask anyway to make sure. The driveshaft should have NO play in it coming out of the trans, right? My suspicion is that the tail shaft bearing in the transmission is toast along with everything else in the transmission. I'll get it rebuilt soon, I'm tired of not being able to shift it normally.
