Where is the starter selenoid on our sn 95s? Is it built on to the starter? Im having a hot start problem thats getting worse, I"ve checked the timing to make sure it wasn"t too advanced, and the cooling system is fine, I think the starter is crapping out.

I am pretty sure it's on top of the starter motor, just like on chevy's. I had to remove it when I did my clutch.

Once you get the starter out, take it to autozone and have them test it. I thought my starter solenoid was bad, but when the put power to it, the starter gear came out just like normal.

Check the teeth on the starter gear. They could be worn and not engaging the flywheel like mine was on my chevy truck.

IMO Mean Green makes the best starters. The solenoid is internal and you can mount the starter away from the headers so heat-soak is never a problem. They run $249 but are well worth it.

The only problem is that it only acts up after its been running a while, like a trip to the store, or a cruise, it starts fine otherwise when its cold, someone told me the "bendix" is sticking when its hot.

My car has just started to do that. I notice the temp running a little higher then normal but not too bad so I am not sure if that is it or the starter, or maybe a combination. I have been working non-stop the last couple weeks, so haven't had time to check a alot of things that need doing.
