Hotmustang's new ride ***PICS!!!!*** :D NOONE EXPECTED THIS!

Sweet Car. Wow, drove it all the way back from nebraska and their crap weather. I just did that drive last week too, went to see the parents, got snowed in for a couple of days. I love good ole texas winters, dont miss nebraska at all.

So why would you never TT a daily driver again? did the drivability suck?

Nice job Cody :nice: I am helping my father find a 03/04 Cobra and hope I can find him a deal like that! I think Friday we are gonna go look at a Mystic with 36K on it for $26000 in Arlington. So is the Cobra more responsive motor wise than the TT GT was?

Thanks everyone :D

I got the car from Hastings Nebraska actually...and thank God we missed the snow storm by a few hours!

As far as parts go, I havnt checked PMs...but ill just say that motor and tranny and maybe rear are accounted for, im giving it to my dad. Since I owed him 4Gs from before and hes put in alot of hours on the GT, I think its fair.
Turbos and IC are also sold already. Now onto other things :D

Turbos are definatly drivable, but they just dont give you all that part throttle power and instant throttle responce. Basically they come in mainly when your really wanting to go and otherwise it drives like a regular car. However with the cobra, it feels like it has a 500CI big block setting under the hood...its just amazing and makes me really enjoy driving it. It even sounds fast just taking off and getting into a little boost and MAYBE half throttle...just GOES and the RPMS pick up fast regaurdles of what RPM your at.
WIth my GT I really had to push down on the gas to get it to really move. 57 MM turbos were MUCH more responcive than the 61s, but it still wasnt anything like this. Also a 1st gear roll with the cobra just INSTANTLY slams you into the seat and throws all the power down...even the 57s were weak in 1st for the power the car had, wasnt even close to this cars power. (yes the MTs HOOK)

Basically the turbos are like your stock GT for daily driving and then MUCH more power when you really want to go. Now how I figured was well if it stays the same for DDing I wont miss any lowend power and just worry about topend. Well now that I feel the difference, I wouldnt have it anyother way. Positive displacment just turns the car into a torque monster and I cant live without it now :D trust me, its NICE.

Oh and IRS rocks....car feels MUCH better and doesnt get all weird over bumps if your turning.

I know a few people asked, so here is my answer to the main question of "what are the plans".
Basically I plan to leave this car alone for the most part. Only things I ever plan to do is
A. tune it for 93 octane (its tuned for 91)
B. Cooling mod (so the car doesnt get the "tick")
C. MAYBE self port teh blower a bit while I have it off for the cooling mod.

THATS IT. I dont car about massive power anymore....this car is SO nice that I enjoy so much just driving it. I dont want to do anything to take that quality and drivability away. I wont even be putting gauges in it....and if i DO put one in it will be my wideband that I have setting in my room just to keep an eye on things. No A piller stuff.

And yes she will be going on the dyno soon and will be going to the drag strip soon :D And I work for a company called Freescale Semiconductors as a group lead in my area.

OH BTW I BOUGHT A CARFAX 30 DAY THING TO CHECK THE COBRA BEFORE BUYING....SO IF ANYONE NEEDS ONE RUN, LET ME KNOW :)

I haven't been on this site in over a month and come back to this!?!?!

Congrats Cody and its kinda funny cuz i just replaced my GT with a 4V as well. Picked up a '01 Lazer Red Cobra a few weeks ago, so starting all over again. Good to know you're alright and like 02LaserRed2v said, that crap is not stayin the way it is right now and you know it liar. lol
