Hotmustang's new ride ***PICS!!!!*** :D NOONE EXPECTED THIS!

Please pardon my stupidity, whats a MN12?

Everyone has it wrong. its not "MN12" its "M112" Eaton Blower. Thats what its really called. I read the whole book on John Coletti's Terminator, so I know. :D Orginal they were going to us the M90 but it was to small.:nice:

For the record. The blower is not POS who ever said that. They can just be as powerful as whipples and Kennebells if done right, and scream louder. In stock form they do there duty like it was intended. I dont see anything "POS" about it. :nonono:

MN12 is the platform for thunderbird/cougar like Gearbanger owns lol... But yeah M112 isn't a bad blower at all :nice:

I think the 03-04 Cobras will stay in the lower 20s for quite awhile just like you see with the C5 Vettes. As far as them being worth more 10-20+ years from now I really don't think so. The problem is 99% of Cobras have fairly low miles on them and are well taken care of and this goes for really any Cobra. The reason you see Muscle cars so high in value is because no one really took care of them after time so it became harder and harder to find one in good condition.

Now that everyone is trying to buy the next big collectors item and storing them for 20 years to make some dough your not going to see the value of these cars go up like the Muscle Cars. Look at how many people bought the ZR1 Corvette back in the day thinking it would be the next big thing. That car was $60k brand new and now you can buy one with <5000 miles for 30k. The next big money maker will be a car thats hard to come by not a 03/04 Cobra not an 07+ GT500

I honestly think the Fox Body Stangs will be worth more than the Cobras. I saw 5 89-93 5.0 LXs all white with red interior (ugly IMO) sell at ACD Auction this year for $20k+ each and they all had any where from 700-1500 miles on them.

Just my .02

66 coupe is all mine :D Has a fully 4340 forged 331 stroker in it.

For those wondering how much I payed...I got a great deal IMHO @ $24,750 :nice: . Usually the "never seen rain/snow" low milage cars go for upper 20s to lower 30s.

just cause you own a pos MN12 thats not even worth $1000, doesnt mean everyone elses cars suffer the same fate.

I didn't build my "POS MN12" with the intention of it being a collector’s car. For what I've got into my Cougar, I could have had an '03/'04 Cobra half paid for right now, but I didn't go that direction cause I was sick of them by that time. I went with my MN12 because I wanted a change from the Mustang scene for a while and I wanted a fast, full size car that I could haul my 6'2" 260 frame in....and because I got a smoking deal on it. No, it'll probably never be worth anything to a Mustang die hard, but you'd be surprised how many people pass on over every run of the mill Fox and SN95 at car shows just to check out my Cougar.

Now that I've been out of the Mustang scene for a while, I'm looking at getting back into one but that's not to say my car has been anything but impressive. It's put plenty of Mustangs on the trailer at the track and has been a hell of a lot more comfortable on the ride too and from, in the process. Not to mention it was nice having "useful" trunk space for a change.

And for what it's worth, I wasn't directing my previous comment at you, so don't get all bent out of shape. But the fact remains that the Fox bodies and SN's will never be considered the collector that the Classics were. There have been far too many built and to be honest....Fox bodies were never really considered that great of a car to begin with. Sure, the Mustang faithful of that era loved them, but to everyone else they were considered a "band-aid" for Ford during the 2nd lowest point of the automotive industry we all like to refer to as "the 80's"

Another point to consider is that not many of the sought after classics are around any longer, which really brings up their value. And there weren't that many of the "true specialty cars" built to begin with. Sure, Ford built a gazillion Mustangs in general throughout the mid-60's and they're holding their value fairly well, but keep in mid these were the "originators". The first of the line and their run was fairly short. Fox bodies were around for almost 25-years and SN95 for 10. Hardly a short, or limited production that would make them a "rarity".

Like I said before.....some of these cars will "hold" their value a little better than others of the era, but they'll never bring in 10 and 20-times their original worth like an original 64 1/2, Shelby, or a Boss would now a days. It just isn’t gonna happen!

Wow you took that well. :nice: Man im impressed!

And also, I dont plan on ever selling my 03 cobra....I bought her to drive! I wanted something with low miles so I know its been well taken care of, and hasnt had much time to be beat on. I want to be the only one doing the beating :rlaugh:

And you'll notice that they're still sitting there, taking up stale space in the auto trader for that price too. ;) I love watching people squirm and come crashing down to reality when they realize the amount of value their vehicle loses even just driving it off the lot, or when they clue in that they're never going to recouple all of the go fast mods and/or labor they've put into it upon resale. :D

I agree. Those guys can ask whatever they want, but we will see what they actually get for them. I would only buy a termi that was stock and low miles and original owner. There are too many videos online of people beating them.

I would have traded my car in a HEARTBEAT if I could a cobra for that much! Damn man, after I saw your original post I searched around for cobras in my area and they were all 29+.

Thats a damn good deal you found man....
