hey man, sorry to hear about the tt. you put alot of hard work in there. i bet you happy now though! congrats.........and yea, with your personality i dont think you can hold off the mods.

although, i am going to buy either a m3 or g35 in a year or so for dd and yea both can be modded for more speed, im leaving them along. sometimes it depends on the car. to be honest, alter all the work and problems with getting my car to where i want it to be, im just plain tired.

im sure you are too, but i dont think it will last long in your case!

LOL not a whole lot you could use anyways Well minus the turbos and piping I guess lol.

Congrats on the new ride! It is IMO the best Mustang Ford has ever built. Gotta say that I will miss hearing about the stock motor'd TT GT. What does your dad have planned for the motor and drivetrain?

I totally agree, 03/04 cobras are really everything i want in a mustang. Power/handling/ride/sexy. Not really too sure, but I think he will keep the boost lower...the car this motor is going in will weigh around 2200#s empty So it wont need very much boost to make it rediculous.

rotfl please! I remember when you swore staying NA. Hell, you're the president of the NA club and now you have a factory FI mustang. You know you want to catch me.

Oh I know my history . But im pretty confedent this car will stay largely left alone. I want to do the cooling mod to it and also do a little hand porting on the plenum and blower just for the heck of it....free stuff thats undetectable and wont hurt anything.

I haven't been on this site in over a month and come back to this!?!?!

Congrats Cody and its kinda funny cuz i just replaced my GT with a 4V as well. Picked up a '01 Lazer Red Cobra a few weeks ago, so starting all over again. Good to know you're alright and like 02LaserRed2v said, that crap is not stayin the way it is right now and you know it liar. lol

NICE dude! 4Vs are amazing huh? Whats funny is that 4-5K with these engines just seems like nothing....my GT would be screaming @ even 4K it seemed. What happened to your GT? And did you make a thread? PICS?

Thanks! And not sure...but im thinking 4 inch . I love em too, they look sick! Also like how they are twisted sideways to match the curve of the rear bumper.

I was just pricing the cooling mod, seems the LDC one is best but its like $240 before you send them your old pipe connector for a $20 core fee. But it is def needed on these 4-V. The real bummer of the cooling mod is you have to drop the tranny to do it which is why you should not go with the other companys one (starts with an A but cant remember the name) its cheaper but it uses a plastic T that is prone to melting and then you gotta pull the tranny again to fix it.

good deal. out of a worthless GT and into a car thats still worth something.

first mods:

Suspension! even with a heaton, this car will jump from 80 to 160 in seconds, so just like your GT TT you need to be able to handle at those speeds.

Cooling: Heat Exchanger, Reservior and a overflow tank. If youre pulling the tranny at any time, might as well do the Cooling Mod while you are there, but its nearly impossible without pulling the tranny.

then add air. Stage4 Steigmeier Port, 4# lower with a 2.93" upper and support and youre over 500whp. (support = 60lb injectors, bap, maf extender, tune). or go straight with a 2.2L KB or Whipple and throw high 500's to 600's on the table and grin at the linear powerband your TTGT could never attain, useable power from 1500rpm up to redline and everywhere in between.

btw hows your insurance?

its the only mustang worth financing thats not a 05+. hell after a few years a 03/04 Termi will start increasing in value much like the Supras are now.

Everyone thinks their cars value will go up. You should hear the delusional thoughts of grandeur that some of the 5.0L Fox guys are having about their rides.

Some of them may in fact "hold" their value, but they'll never be worth more than the original sticker. Those days are over. Production numbers since then have been waaaay too high to make them a rarity.

I have to be the rude one and ask how much did you pay? Because the sticker is pretty low for an 03 Cobra. They were around 36K-38K around here when new....and people are now asking more than they were new.

And you'll notice that they're still sitting there, taking up stale space in the auto trader for that price too. I love watching people squirm and come crashing down to reality when they realize the amount of value their vehicle loses even just driving it off the lot, or when they clue in that they're never going to recouple all of the go fast mods and/or labor they've put into it upon resale.

lol my dad uses kelly blue book to his advantage when he buys a car and we always get a killer deal cause we wait for the end of the model year. we saved 10gs when we bought our 05 explorer lol.

nice looking cobra man I wish i would have gotten one. Almost did as my first car my dad said i could get it but it was yellow and a vert. lol the vert is what made me say no i could have dealt with yellow though.

just cause you own a pos MN12 thats not even worth $1000, doesnt mean everyone elses cars suffer the same fate.

40 years from now you will be just as wrong as the people who thought once the muscle car era died, that those cars would be worth nothing too. had they just held onto them for a couple more decades, theyd be raking in the dough at BarrettJackson. i know people that thought just that, sold their cars at the end of the era, and are now kicking themselves in the ass.

Fox prices are going up, for a good condition body/interior and decent mileage youre looking at ~4-5K in my area, a far cry from what prices were about 5 years ago for even the best condition fox's. 5 years from now, they will be even more. the harder they are to come by, the more sellers can charge and get away with.

hell i remember when i got into dsm's you could find a running 1g awd with just over 100k on the clock for around $1k, now you cant even find a rolling chassis for under that, and most running decent 1g's are in the 2-3K range, why? because that drivetrain/chassis combo is becoming highly sought after, with the popularity of the Evo/Sti/SRT4 people want 4cyl Turbo cars that are relatively cheap so they can throw them around a track and not care.

i highly doubt you will ever see a 03/04 Terminator go for under 10-12K, what you will likely see is their prices hover around the 20k$ mark till the end of the decade, then they might drop to mid 15's but by that time they will be in even less numbers in existence and the demand will still be the same, the platform/drivetrain combo will be highly sought after once the GT500 dies to meet fords "green" image.

That's totally unnecessary. It only makes you fit the description of a stereotypical "holier than thou" terminator even more accurately. Taking shots at my car or gearbanger's makes me question you being a true enthusiast or a hating ricer in disguise.

+1 and well put.

A car is only worth what someone will pay for it. I was sick of always fixing my 92 LX/GT conversion and put it on ebay and could not believe that it sold for $7500
The guy HAD to have it. I told him it has two cracks in the chasis that need welding, he said I dont care I want it. I told him it tends to be hard to shift when it gets stuck in traffic, he said so what. I told him it used to be a LX and he said do you have the title? So if someone will buy a used Termi for 35K than that is what it is worth. Sometimes you get lucky, after selling the Fox I bought my Cobra for 6K and that was 4 months ago and I cant find one in nearly the shape mine is in for less than 10 grand now

Hotmustang331: I am gonna PM you if you are still doing the carfax b/c me and dad should be buying a termi in a couple weeks and there are two vins I wana check if its cool. Thanks, and congrats again. That color is
