I just bought a set of Sumitomo HTR+ tires. So far I think they are ok. On tirerack.com there are as many people that love them as hate them. Anybody had any experiences with these tires?How are Sumitomo tires?

I just bought a set of Sumitomo HTR+ tires. So far I think they are ok. On tirerack.com there are as many people that love them as hate them. Anybody had any experiences with these tires?
They are all season tires but they don't look like snow tire. The tread pattern looks decent and they seem to be fairly quit for all seasons. Although I live in GA, I'm in Charlotte, NC right now. I bought the tires last Saturday and woke up Sunday to find my Pony covered in snow. They have done really well here in the bad weather over the past few days. As I stated earlier, so far so good!
I live on the gulf coast... been awhile since this place has seen any snow. I’ve been running the HTR+ for over a year now on my daily driven stang. They are quiet, have good tread wear and these things will leave some of the blackest marks on the road. 
When I went to replace my tires I thought what the heck and went with a all season tire for two reasons.
- Wasn’t sure how the tread wear would pan out and I wanted the ability to rotate around all four corners if need be. It hasn’t been need, I’ve moved the rears to the front recently and only did it because I thought it was about time... not because they needed rotating.
- Also as cheap as these tires are I thought why not see how well they hookup being an all season tire. No complaints there either. I could easily roast the stock gator backs after easing the clutch out and stomping it to floor, second gear would get pretty squirrely also. I can’t do that with these HTR+ they hook well IMO for the kind of tire.
One other thing I’ve noticed about them, on wet streets or in the rain they feel just as solid as they do when it’s dry. They will make you over confident on wet streets!
Not a bad choice in tire for the price.

You're right about that, it doesn't snow all winter long here in TN. But when we do get some we get SOME ( snow & ice ) and I'd hate to be @ work one morning and it starts dumping on us like last January and have some ultra high performance "summer" tires on my stang. Thank God I was already home from work that night when it started coming down. Unfortunately I went into work that night when it all froze up again. Man I was slidding everywhere and I even cracked my front bumper this time last January. It snowed twice last year and I had some summer tires on my stang. So now I have 2 sets of tires. I run a set of Falken GRFK451's the spring/summer & I run a set of Falken Ziex ZE 512's in the winter (Dec, Jan - Mar). The Summitomo were my 1st choice but I got a better deal on the Falkens @ NTB.MustangLife said:
