I was going down a street and someone wanted to race me and I was racing him and there was a bump that I went over in the race. it was not a pothole just a big bump. how bad are they for your car and what can be messed up on your car if you hit a big one. nothing on my car hit the ground. my mustang is still high in the back end because I have not put the lowering springs on yet?

Mine is not lowered enough for most bumps to affect it. Speed bumps however, are a major pain.
Exhaust is the main problem for most. Some will have oil pan issues, others tranny..
as with any car, just have to watch where you are going and avoid the bumps.

well cars are made for bumps...rather large ones actually.
A big one once made my air-bag light come on...one of the sensors wasnt grounding properly.
Bumps in my car are like i am going off curbs.....as long as nothing falls off you should be fine....just dont go jumpin RR tracks or speed bumps
but realistically they are probably the harshest on your tie-rod ends...ball joints...A-arm bushings, and on the rear, i guess the links or whatever theyre called...i forget
