How big is my rear end???

Ok, I know its a misleading title to some.......

Serioulsy though, I have a 67 coupe. Any clue as to what the rear end is? my 69 was a 9 inch, but I think this might be smaller.

Almost correct. The K code (289 Hipo) engine should also have a 9" rear.

you are correct, for some reason i was lumping the 67 in with the 68 in my head, and there was no Hi-Po 289 in 68 but yes there was a 289 Hi-Po in 67 and it would have the 9". thanks for the catch on that.

At this late date, after 40 years have gone by, his rear could be anything. So I'll add this: if you can remove the two bottom centersection nuts (holding the "chunk" in the front of the rearend) with a socket and ratchet, it's an 8", if you have to do this with an end wrench only, it's a 9". If the rear has a cover on the back, ain't no tellin what it is.
