I have the Bassani QT and it sticks out further than stock. I'm ordering my rims and need to know if I can fit 18x8's or if I have to go 18x7's. Anyone with a Bassani set up and rims (96-98), please let me know what you can fit under your pony.

Thanks :nice:

By sticks out further, do you mean it sticks out further into the wheel well? I have the catback along with 18" x 9"s and have no problems. If I went with anything wider I might have to add spacers.

Sorry,

I just did an edit, I'm pretty sure that the body style and exhaust set up is a little more fogiving on the 99+ cars. With 96-98, we have a little less room. But yes, the exhaust runs into the wheel well a bit further.

Little Room to Grow

Here is a pic of how much room I DON'T have.
With a larger rim and tire, it's going to be alot closer to the exhaust. It's about a finger differance

When you get your rims, you need to check the backspacing dimensions. With most wheels you shouldn't have a problem getting 9" wide wheels. I ordered a Magnapack cat back for my 96 and it wouldn't clear my 10" saleen wheels. I went with Borla and it cleared fine, not sure on Bassani though. And the factory rims are definitely 17x8.

17x8 you say....well I'm going 18x8 then, thanks for the specs Mr. Green!
