how can I tell how much lift my valve springs can handle?

I was looking at my World windsor Sr. heads that I purchased used and was curious whether they can handle .6 or .7 of lift. The owner said he swapped out the stock ones for crane dual valvesprings. Is there any #, or any markings on them that would let me know what they are?

well its tough without a spring tech card...can you get the guy you bought them from find a reciept or pn?? He has to have something unless he's BSing you.
All is not lost, you can pull one then take it to your local machine shop and have him measure them. That should tell you for sure.
Spring pressure isn't the only thing you have to worry about with a .700 lift. Valve and guide stem clearance should also be taken into consideration. Vin
