how do i adjust my parking brake cable?

I beleive the parking brake on 5-spds tends to let go causing the car to roll. I forget what years are affected but i think it's 99-00??

It's only 5-spd's only. The automatics have the same brake but lot less risk of an Auto rolling vs a 5-spd

Not trying to hijack your thread but I have a question on this topic. Does anyone know what exactly the recall is for the parking brake? I have had my car since 98 and haven't taken it in because I hate stealerships ... Anybody know what the recall is all about?

Apparently, it was very hush-hush ?

I have had a scrubbing noise from the driver's side disk since I had this recall work done. After I finished replacing the rotors and pad on the rear of the car just recently, I noticed the scrubbing sound diminished a bit.

That's what led me to look up the service records and recalls, and my maintenance notes.



Apologize for the revival of a "moldy" topic, but nobody ever replied to the OP. Now, I'd like to know, too.
