How do I get an '05 Air Bag off to change Steering Wheel?

i just skimmed the thread, but i still dont see where anyone said they wanted to remove the airbag, just swap the wheels. you can for example, change from the base wheel to the IUP wheel, or get a custom wheel like STANGNUT put on his ride.

to swap wheels, you need to remove and install the airbags....

I didn't know that.. guess I always assumed that all aftermarket steering wheels such as the Grant wheels didn't come with airbags, but then again ? I'm from and referring back to the fox 5.0 old school era..damn still seems like only yesterday instead of nearly 20 years ago lol.

true, old school steering wheels dont have provisions for airbags.

My comments are not directed at anyone in this thread. I just want to post them, becuase I worked with airbags up until last month. So I thought I would put out my tips / legal notes on the subject. I hope I didn't offend because I know how much we all want to work on our cars.
