How do I get that gray piece off thats under the rear bumper?

Its looks like crap. Its got yellow spots from the yellow primer/undercoat, and it looks like some chemicals ran down it and messed up the finish. I want to take it off and maybe paint it black or gray. But prolly black. I saw what is holding it on, but i cant figure out how to get them out.
Heres a pic that I took of my bumper inserts, but you can see how bad it is.

yep, mask it all off then hit it with some good paint

Be sure to:

1. Wash it with dish soap
2. Sand with at least 1000 sandpaper.
3. Wash with soap again
4. Prime, Let dry between coats at least 30 mins.
5. Paint 3 coats of black at least.
6. Wetsand
7. Repaint 1 coat

Aren't they "supposed" to be black, not gray?

I had the same problem until yesterday. I hit it with the new Mother's Back 2 Black that I got. I swear, this is the best stuff ever. It turned that piece under the bumper, the mirrors, the cowl, and weather stripping to a shiney black. I was planning on painting that stuff, too .... but decided to give this a try because I've heard good stuff about it. Just letting you know ... this is another option.

I was prolly the one singing its praises to you. Lol. I use it on everything but it just wont get this thing back to black (huhu). But it works great on everything else.

Yeah, probably so. I remember someone on here talkin' good stuff about it ... which inspired me to go get some.

I'm in the same boat as you, though (kinda). Except mine is the cowl. Part of the cowl just won't shine .... so I think I'm gonna paint it.

I need to get the plastic pipe things off the wiper base. It looks like PVC pipe.
